Hambly Lavender Farm

San Miguel lavender fields where you cut your own bundle, late spring through summer
About
Hambly Lavender Farm, in San Miguel just north of Paso Robles, opens its fields each bloom season for U-pick: you walk the rows and cut your own bundle to take home. The farm store sells the family's lavender products plus lavender lemonade and honey gelato. Milton Hambly leads guided walks on weekend mornings, and on select Saturday evenings Sunset on the Farm pairs the fields with local wine.
Gina and Milton Hambly bought 26 acres here in 2017, after their kids' 4-H and FFA years pulled the family toward farming. Soil, climate and drought steered them away from orchards and toward lavender, which they first planted in 2019. They now grow more than 4,500 plants across eight varieties, and Milton, the farm's distiller, won a gold medal in 2025 for his Dutch Mill lavender oil.
