A Barlogio family farm on Highway 46 West with honey, summer U-pick and 140 pumpkin types
About
Jack Creek Farms is a working farm on Highway 46 West in Templeton with a farm market up front. Summer brings U-pick peaches, plums, apples, berries and heirloom tomatoes, and in fall the fields hold more than 140 kinds of pumpkins, gourds and winter squash. The market carries honey, olive oil and balsamic, and kids can run around the Happy Acres play area.
The Barlogio story starts in 1889, when James Barlogio arrived from Switzerland and settled near Harmony. His son Miles moved to the Templeton side of the hill and in 1960 opened an honor-system stand called the Barlogio Pumpkin Center. Highway 46 split the farm in 1969 and the stand later closed. Tim and Joy Barlogio reopened it in the late 1980s, and they now run it with Becky and Mandy.
