Gopher Glen Apple Farm
See Canyon
Organic See Canyon apples, over 100 kinds, with tastings and fresh-pressed cider
About
Gopher Glen is the apple stop in See Canyon. The farm grows more than 100 varieties, many of them heirlooms, and about 65 make it to the stand over a season. You can taste before you buy, then add fresh-pressed cider, honey and baked goods. The site keeps a Current Harvest list; at the end of October 2026 it included Fuji, Pink Lady, Braeburn and Arkansas Black.
Orthodontist John DeVincenzo planted a 20-acre hobby orchard here in 1971 and bred some of his own apples, including Heaven Sent, named for his late wife, Bobby. After he died in 2009, Debbie and Bruce Smith of Avila Valley Barn bought the farm, and their son Jake and his wife, Raven, now run it. It was certified organic in 2006 and started making hard cider in 2016.
